Our story

Synapsa, the company behind TherapyBlankets.de, was founded in 2013 out of necessity. A little boy with autism urgently needed a weighted blanket, but most blankets available on the market were not affordable. Therefore, the founders decided to manufacture the blanket themselves. From one blanket, many quickly followed...

The Blankets were initially sewn in a small apartment and mainly sold in Poland. Now we are in a large, modern building with over 100 employees. Our weighted blankets are bought and appreciated by customers from all over the world. Since each blanket is handmade and produced with great care, it is our employees who stand at the heart of the company. A good and fair interaction among each other offers our team a good working atmosphere in which everyone feels comfortable. Our employees come from all age groups and bring their unique character traits with them.

We place great importance on including mentally and physically impaired people as part of the manufacturing process. We are proud of our high-quality therapy blankets and the sustainable and environmentally friendly manufacturing process, which takes place entirely within the EU. We take the responsibility towards our customers, whether children or adults, to offer the best product very seriously. Our therapy blankets are meant to give you a calm and healthy sleep and provide our employees with a workplace they are happy to return to every morning.

Our mission

It is our wish and our goal to reach as many people as possible who can benefit from a weighted blanket. There is great interest from hospitals, care facilities, and kindergartens. We will maintain our high standards for the quality of our products and continue to expand our company in order to help as many people as possible who suffer from stress, sleep problems, or developmental disorders such as ADHD, autism, Asperger's, or Down syndrome, and to strengthen our position as the market leader in Germany.

As a company, it is important for us to offer high-quality weighted blankets and to satisfy our customers. It is also in our interest to take responsibility in all work steps, as well as to develop awareness in dealing with people and resources.
